Terms and Conditions
1. Orders (In-store or Online)
Orders are accepted subject to the following conditions.
Goods will be invoiced at price ruling on the date of collection/dispatch. Verbal prices or quotations will be valid for 28 days only.
3. Value Added Tax
All prices are quoted exclusive of VAT in-store which will be charged at the current rate. Prices shown Online includes VAT.
Free delivery service for orders over £100 Nett. We currently use FedEx Couriers for next day deliveries all over UK mainland. UK Highland/Island Deliveries will incur additional charges.
For Orders below £100.00 Nett will be charge carriage from £8.95+Vat. Postage from £3.95+vat.
AM/Saturday deliveries are Available at extra cost. Delivery for Oversea services are available.
We will not be responsible if goods required by post, as we cannot obtain proof of deliveries.
Overseas Delivery Services Terms.
We offer an overseas delivery services using Best Price Comparison websites and we will use one of the following couriers: DHL, DPD, FedEx, TNT,UPS, etc. and we will provide you with the most competitive quote at cost price. We can offer optional insurance to cover for any loss or damage of the goods whilst in transit. You can choose whether you want to take the insurance (additional cost) or not. Any missing/damaged parcels must be reported within 1-3 working days of receipt. We will provide the courier with your contact details and email for tracking purposes. You will receive alert messages showing the progress of your delivery. This will show the number of parcels on the way to the address you’ve provided. Touch Ironmongery has no partnership with with any courier companies.
Touch Ironmongery will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage of the goods whilst in transit if insurance is not provided.
For Online Purchases, UK mainland deliveries are charged £10.00 Including VAT. If order value Below of £99.99 inc.vat. Free delivery for Online orders from £100.00 including VAT. Deliveries to Highlands/Island will incur Additional charges. If you are Not from the UK mainland, you can still place the order, selecting Collection only option. We will then contact you, confirming your oversea address and will charge you separately for courier using best price to deliver anywhere around the world. we will provide you with the most competitive quote at cost price. We can offer optional insurance to cover for any loss or damage of the goods whilst in transit.
You can choose whether you want to take the insurance (additional cost) or not. The insurance will cover for Loss or damaged goods during transit. (Read Overseas Delivery Services Terms above)
5. Settlement Terms (This applies for customers with Credit Account)
Payment must be made at point of sale for non-account/non-credit account customers.
Account customers with a credit agreement, invoices are due and payable at the end of the month following the date of the invoice. We reserve the right to charge interest at 2% per month on accounts that are not paid to our terms.
6. Title of goods
Ownership of goods shall remain with Touch Ironmongery Ltd until payment for goods has been received in full.
7. Bespoke/Special Orders
Special/bespoke ordered goods will require a deposit or full payment in advance. Such Special/bespoke orders cannot be cancelled unless goods have not been processed. For Online Purchase, this terms remains the same. Any bespoke finishes will require full payment and cannot be cancelled once the goods are on order, unless the order has not been processed.
8. After-sale Product Risk Responsibility
The risk in goods shall pass to the buyer when delivery is made to the buyer’s premises or destination specified by the buyer. Shortages and damages must be advised within 3 working days of receipt of goods. All bespoke/Special Products are inspected for quality assurances before dispatch.
Returns will be accepted and credited with the following conditions
a) The Goods must not be returned without prior agreement.
b) Goods returned which are surplus to requirements or ordered in error will be subject to a 25% re-stocking charge and must be returned by the customer otherwise a carriage charge will be applied to collect the goods. This applies for stocked items.
c) For Goods requested to be returned after a period of 2 months from the date of invoice cannot be considered for return or credit.
d) All goods must be returned in their original packaging and in a re-saleable condition, goods returned not in a re-salable condition may result in a refusal to credit or refund. We will inspect and if required, we will request manufacturers to inspect before any refunds/credit are issued.
e) Special or bespoke ordered Goods are non-refundable. E.g. Cut to size, bespoke made, Special Finished, altered/adapted and etc.
f) Up to 35% handling charges will apply on all electrical products.
g) Invoice/receipt must be shown as proof of purchase. No invoice/receipt, no refund.
h) Full Refund are given if goods returned within 28 days of purchase. This excludes special, bespoke, modified, re-finished products or specially ordered items.
10. Warranties for Ironmongery
These warranties are offered in addition to any statutory legal rights for the sale of goods.
Touch ironmongery will not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising from the sale/use of products supplied. We assume no liability for any labour charges regards removal or reinstallation of the products; our only obligation will be to replace any defective products once inspected and verified by the specialist.
Branded products supplied will come with Original manufacturer warranty. Every manufacturer will have their own terms on warranty/guarantees. Any defected goods must be reported within 3 days of receipt. There are no warranty on the product finishes. There are no warranty on re-finished products.
Samples for approval will be invoiced at the normal list price and credited in full if returned within 28 days in a condition fit for re-sale. No samples will be free of charge.
Specification/sizes shown are approximate and we reserve the right to change them where necessary and without notice. We will not be responsible for any changes on dimensions on products supplied as they can vary when ordered at different times (old/new batch).
Cancellation will only be accepted by us on condition that any costs and expenses incurred by us up to the time of cancellation and all loss or damage by reason of such cancellation will be reimbursed by the purchaser to us forthwith. Online cancellation will incur 5% cancellation charges as PayPal will charge us for all transaction.
14. Conditions of Sale
Conditions of sale are as stated unless specified terms are negotiated and supported by written confirmation.
Touch ironmongery Ltd reserves the right to make any necessary amendments.
15. Re-finishing/Re-plating terms.
As we offer Re-finishing/Re-plating Services. We will not be responsible for any damages occurred. Plating will be at owner’s risk. Any plastics, rubbers, soft dis-solvable material will/must be removed before sending for finishing as they are likely to be dissolve during the process. We will aim to provide the closest finish as required. We will provide estimated lead times but will not be held responsible for any delays/labour charges.
All plating will be chargeable in advance or prior when collecting. Finishing/Plating will not be refundable under any circumstances. Estimated cost will be provided before goods are dis-assembled and dispatched to finishers. Re-finishing Products can void warranties provided by manufacturer.
Estimated Electronic Plating average 2-3 weeks. (CP,SC,AB,BRZ,PB,UNL,SN)
Estimated Powder Coat Plating average 4-5 weeks.
