Design & Function:

  • Night Latch: The latch is a surface-mounted locking mechanism designed for front doors, commonly used for added security.
  • Key Components:
    • Latch Body: The larger component, typically installed on the door, houses the locking mechanism and thumb turn.
    • Keep Plate (or Strike Plate): The smaller part mounted on the door frame where the latch bolt extends into when the door is locked.
    • Latch Bolt: The rectangular bolt, often spring-loaded, locks into the keep plate to secure the door.
    • Thumb Turn: The knob or lever on the inside of the door allows manual locking/unlocking without a key.
    • We offer 2 sizes. The standard are 60mm back-set. For Narrow Sil doors we offer 40mm back-set.
  • Supplied with  Night-latch with Rim Cylinder & keys. All Fixings and Fasteners included.
